The Vassar College Polo Team was founded in 2001 as a spinoff to the Equestrian Team. Over the past 10 years the team has competed against all of the college teams in the Northeast as well as competing in the USPA Regional Tournaments. The team practices on Monday and Thursday nights from October to April and gets additional playing time at club chukkars. 

Last year the women's team defeated Yale, Johnson & Wales, Kemptville  & UMass and participated in the USPA Northeast pre-Regionals hosted by Gardnertown. Lead by Kay Meyers, MC Walker,  Sarina Appelgren, Sarah and Lucy Weaver, Vassar won their first round game before losing to tournament champion Skidmore. MC Walker was named to the all-tournament team.
